Field-to-Classroom Programs and Curriculum
Field-to-classroom programs and curriculum development prevents epistemicide (the demise of knowledge) as it draws from place-based Traditional Ecological Knowledge, bringing it into the common classroom setting.
Our current field-to-classroom program and curriculum development includes the following:

To achieve our vision of developing a Coast Salish Tribal Heritage Field Institute, or House of Healing House of Learning Longhouse, WE co-founded a Washington State Charter School, Whatcom Intergenerational High School on May 30, 2019. WE continue continue to partner to advocate for knowledge democracy in secondary education. WE are working with WWU and WE Interns who are helping our organization to develop curriculum that Honors the First People and Truth and Reconciliation.
