WE - ONE MIND FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE WORK

                                                                                               2024
NXT GEN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FELLOWS CONVENERS

Dear Friends,

Whiteswan Environmental (WE) and the WWU Center for Community Learning (CCL) invite you to join the NXT Gen Cohort of Community Engagement Fellows starting in February!

Sign up today on the program page: Community Engagement Fellows Cohorts

The NXT Gen cohort’s focus is on learning, relationship-building, and exploring collaboration opportunities between Indigenous and non-Indigenous members of our communities and region. WE and the CCL have been working together to build bridges since 2017, co-designing and co-facilitating community forums, film screenings, field experiences, and more. We’re excited for this next opportunity to work together to foster community healing and care for our shared home.

The cohort will meet 6 times on Mondays from 2:00-4:00 pm at Whatcom Intergenerational High School in Bellingham, WA (Xwotquem). Fellows may also join remotely via Zoom.

Here are the meeting dates:

February 5
February 26
March 11
March 25
April 15
April 29

All people working to build more thriving and resilient communities are encouraged to participate, including those connected with community organizations, schools, tribal and non-tribal governments, universities, colleges, etc. We encourage people from throughout the Salish Sea Region to participate. There are no required qualifications.
The program is free, we have tasty snacks and warm drinks, and many people have found it very valuable (see quotes below from past CE Fellows).

Send questions to [email protected] and/or [email protected]

Feel free to forward this invitation on to others in your circles.

Thank you,
Kusemaat ~ Shirley Williams, Whiteswan Environmental
